Building report on two new 3D-printed pirate ships

"eh, I doubt it's very cost effective to print such big models."

They float.

Wargaming in the pool. Imagine if the ships were moored to weights on the bottom of the pool to keep them in place.  Then for moving, you just shift the weights.  A ship suffering damage would have its mooring line shortened slightly so it looks like it is listing or taking on water.  Hmm ...

That is the EXACT system I thought of as a kid, but my plan was to use polystyrene ships and airfix toy soldiers to avoid chlorine damage.

Both ships and the rest of the Kickstarter are looking really good, especially I like the small sloop (and the pool)

Love the sloop.

Wonder what it would cost to have a company print a copy.

Would be nice if people could provide that service for those of us who don't own printers, with the 3D artist's blessing.
