Hi from the Uk
« on: March 11, 2018, 11:08:30 PM »
Hi all,

I don't usually do the intro posts, but hey, why not :)

Let's start with a wee bit of background, many many moons ago, some twelve plus years ago I used to paint minis, not to wargame, that's never been my thing, just to paint and I was okay, not great but okay, anyway life does what it does and got in the way, you know, job, family and so on, so I drifted off and eventually sold all the paints and so on.

I had another quick go five years or so ago and frankly sucked so stopped again, now we arrive at today.

I've a bit more cash, so got in a few Vallejo's and painted something, just an old dwarf I had and it wasn't rubbish, so I get in a full set of army painters and some starter GW boxes and while I've only painted three minis (I literally take two to three days to paint to what most would call tabletop standard!)  it does look like I'm back.

So my plan is to build up a bit of a skillset and then basically only paint really nice stuff, feature peices and the like, but that's a way off yet, as is conversion and so on, but maybe one day :)

Anyway that's enough banter for someone who never planned on doing an intro post!

Welcome to the Forum. You are in good company as there are plenty of people here who prefer the painting to the gaming .... though the gaming shots are also a brialliant way to show off painted collections :)
