Been a while since the last update...And now I have quite the backlog: it's been a VERY active month and a half for the Black Order. Not least of which was their attendance at Franticon in London in mid-March...

Let's start off with the completion of Cruniac's Rangers, under the leadership of Knight-Lieutenant Savara, one of the few women to hold a position of command in the Order today:

" ... the seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days."

Excellent work!

Silly question but where does Savara's head come from?

Not silly at all. It's from the Mantic Sisterhood Scouts in the new Kings of War: Vanguard range. Slightly weird choice, I know. Had the Mantic stuff from the Kickstarter and figured it'd make a good match.

Awesome - as usual  ;)

Cheers!

Now for something a little different. Recently - in the last few months - I was lucky enough to find a group of SAGA players here in Prague, all of whom are pretty keen players and have some really nice armies. One of my first games was against Potan, whose blog can be found here: https://potanswar.blogspot.com/2019/02/saga-god-wills-it.html?m=1

Potan has an amazing House Baratheon force, led by none other than Stannis the Mannis himself and using the Crusader battle board in SAGA. So the Black Order clashed with House Baratheon in the frozen hinterlands of the North, and much blood was shed...

I'll let the photos of our game speak for themselves.

________________

With thanks to Potan for the great pictures!

Cheers chaps. Was a good couple games vs House Baratheon. I'm really enjoying SAGA - it's less tactical than KoW but has a lot of fun options for making cinematic battles.

Working on a baggage train at the minute for KoW: Vanguard and SAGA. Just yakking around really...
