Thanks, guys!

Fantastic Work!

Really love the look of everything and how cohesive you make it.

I can't imagine what put you in 3rd for Vanguard but they must have been truly special.

I can't find a pic of the chap who came 1st, but it was a tartan-bedecked Northern Alliance warband with some very crisp lines. 2nd place went to a friend of mine with some stellar Ogre pirates who really need a bit of showing off:

Little update to the campaign map for KoW:

Been working on some points of interest for the campaign map. This is everything I have from the Mighty Empires box - 2 forts, 2 towns and 2 mines. I'm going to add some 3D printed stuff quite soon however.

edit: and apologies for the slightly blurry pic, working without my regular photo setup means the light is a bit weird!

I decided I needed a new model for the Order's leader, Knight-Captain Tyr. I spent far, far too long on the resultant kitbash - I count six manufacturers and over ten different kits, see if you can spot em :)

I tried to include callbacks to the original mini (shown painted) in the form of the fur pelt, the armour and the helm (cleft in two on the new iteration's base). Also included are some bits tying him in to the rest of the force; dead trees and branches to show his erstwhile alliance with the Children of the Deepwood (the forest monsters and witches earlier in this thread) and a callback to the Eblis Stone from Myth: The Fallen Lords! Remember freezing Balor in place while the Legion hacked him to pieces in front of his fortress near Rhi'anon?

Anyway - Ludovic Tyr, the second iteration.

The first iteration:

Great build! Ok, I see a Fireforge Living Dead body, but did you swap the legs? The arms and the broken helmet are Perry WoTR, and that's a magic symbol from Frostgrave Wizards. The sword is a Fireforge resin bit, right? Can't place the head or the book on his belt. The furry paws look like a GW bit.

Pretty much! Living Dead body (no leg swap), arms from the Perry English Agincourt and Perry Foot Knight sets, magic runestone from the Frostgrave female wizards, sword from Fireforge resin. The head is an old Cadian Command Squad head that I realised fits the Fireforge FW scale perfectly. The paws are from Victrix Romans, the book is from the Frostgrave male wizards, and the branches and stone he's standing on are from two different Mierce sets.

I also added some bits on this morning. Figured I'd lose one of the daggers for a hatchet, in keeping with the loadout of the original Mierce mini, and added a runestone around his neck for a bit more interest. But this is it now, I think add more and he'll look too busy. Thoughts?

Hatchet looks really good, definitly better than the second dagger. Think he's looking just right as is now.

I agree with Ogrob, the hatchet is a good addition.

Thanks a bunch, chaps. I think he'll look much better when painted.

Had the chance to put together and paint some (more) knights recently - not quite sure why I needed them but I really wanted to pursue new kitbashing options. Should be fairly obvious what these are :)

Ilya of Kolgrad, Knight of the Order

‘No stranger to atrocities, having seen his village burned as a child by outriders from the Cimbrian legions, he was one of the first through the breach during the Great Siege of Cimbris… He slew more than a score of the enemy before the Order’s masters called an end to the slaughter’

Accolon of Cimbris, Knight of the Order

‘The fall of Cimbris marked the utter domination of the Order in the north. While the enmity between the mountain peoples and the north-eastern city-states was legendary, those few Cimbrians who elected freely to join the Order would, in time, do much to assuage the hatred that had fuelled a centuries-long cycle of bloodshed in the north-eastern province.’

They look great!

+1 on the above. And I like the pelts you gave them!
