More fantastic work - the table, miniatures and story are all really well done!

I don’t know where to start....beautiful paint jobs, great terrain, well presented and a battle report that reads more like a novel

 :-* :-*

Thanks mate :)

Gorgeous report again, thanks for sharing.

Cheers fella. Unfortunately looks like it'll be a while before the next one.

Very inspiring as always!!
Are the horned children plastic gnolls? What heads did you use?

Cheers! Yes, the bodies are plastic gnolls, with horned skulls from the GW Skulls kit.

It just keeps getting better.

Thank you sir!

Absolutely incredible work all round! Thanks for sharing!

Cheers :)

Thanks :) Hoping to improve a bit on the next one - I think I can improve the photography quite a bit.

Just a little update. No newly painted miniatures, unfortunately, as we're waiting to move into a new house and the pandemic has slowed things down somewhat. But I've been working on a campaign for the London Kings of War group, hopefully starting next month. Here's a teaser - the intro page and the campaign map (and HUGE props if you recognise where the custom assets are from - full credit to Overhype Studios!)

NB: Artwork in the first pic isn't mine - full credit to Jaromir Hrivnac, go check him out: https://www.artstation.com/quintusc

Very cool! A campaign is really the ultimate way of wargaming I think - each battle matters and is therefore way more immersive.

The attention to detail in your game reports and campaign material is remarkable.

Very nice setup, is this an alternate reality 'game of thrones meets the old world' where the comet falls instead of flying by and the locals hunt for warpstone in the aftermath?

The artistry definitely gives a GoT vibe  :)

Apologies if it’s a stupid question - the map has six “major territories” - is there a reason that five are evenly located and spread, but one is slightly indented from the others? Ie is Jarnrgrad Deep a spawn point for the Orcs, while the others are starting locations for the “forces of good”?

Cheers boss. Hope you continue to enjoy :)

Totally agreed. Hoping it goes down well in early Aug!

Ha! The comet is more of a reference to an old Bungie game called Myth: The Fallen Lords. All this stuff exists in a world I was nerdy enough to create myself. No GoT or Warhammer here :)

Good question. The campaign is for a rather new crowd of Kings of War players, with two exceptions (myself and one of the other players). I'm handicapped by the ruleset (can't claim any territories until turn 2 and I always go last). Everyone starts around the outer edge of the campaign map, and the player who will be closest to Jarnrgrad Deep is the most experienced of the other 5 players. I wanted him to have a slight handicap so the others know they have a chance going in.

In theory, anyway. We'll see how it plays out in reality :)

I look forward to seeing it! I've never quite managed to get any locals get along with the idea of a narrative to the wargaming.

Little bit of progress on something for which I lay sole and entire blame upon Akula. Let it be known.

Is that a 3D print?
