I'm liking the LPL but between painting, gaming, work and family I can't get the pictures done!

It would be nice if the Deadline was on Sunday PST so us west coasters could have a bit more weekend time to complete it. Of course this would probably push the start of voting to late monday or Tuesday.

I totally agree with this sentiment (although I'm not suggesting that the timing actually be changed). Of course once we send in our entries on Friday night or Saturday morning, we then have weekend time to get started on the next entry. For me, however, whenever I send in an entry I just want to breath a huge sigh of relief, drink a beer (or four), and NOT look at paints or miniatures for at least 24 hours. That 24 hours and four beers is why I generally enter a new team every other week. On Monday I suddenly realize that I have only five nights available in which to paint before the next team is due!

I hope you'll understand that Richard (Capt.Blood) has to manage about 50 (!!) entries. I've had in the season 1 and 2 about 30-40 entries and it was a huge lot of work. It's hard, believe me. Richard has to paint his LPL teams, he spends his own time managing the League and he has a job and a private life outside of LAF too. How Mancha said, you have weeekend time to get started your next team.

If it's any consolation, I'm on the other side of the pond and I have to get my pictures done every thursday because the next friday at work is my last internet access before the weekend. Of course that does give me the weekend afterwards to work on my next entry, which occasionally actually happens

Today I still have to assemble, paint and photograph my models (depending on which entry I decide on in the end) so I might quit working early today

Even with the league bearing down on me I still can't force myself to paint models which I don't feel like painting at the moment
