Does Osprey release things on WGV?
I got an impression that all of them wargaming titles are showing on WGV sooner or later.
Also they usually sell pdf's through Osprey's own site but it has an interface looking as it goes straight from 80's of the century past which makes me very reluctant to buy pdf's from them.

Looks like Amazon will have it for Kindle  - it that helps.

Regardless, between Chris C's editing and Sam Lamont's art, they turned my scribbled notes into a good looking rule book.

While I prefer to have everything in one place (i.e. WV) I've purchased a few PDFs on Osprey website because their 25% off when you buy both PDF and physical. I experienced no technical issue.

I am looking forward to Zona Alfa quite a bit!

Can you give us some description of how Hot Spots and throwing bolts work in the game?

The short answer is that Hot Spots (and the mission's Objective) are Risk/Reward locations. Typically centered on a scenic item, (a radio tower, an abandoned vehicle, a stack of crates...) they contain valuable salvage and occasionally Anomalies/Artifacts. Getting close also causes Zone Hostiles to spawn who will attack the nearest player models in LOS.
These locations/the spawning can also be triggered by tossing a bolt into that reaction radius. (same rules as throwing a grenade) This is handy if your opponent happens to be in the open as the hostiles will spawn and attack them instead of you. (assuming you were in cover)

Sounds like a fun twist and of course perfectly thematic.

I have begun to gather my forces ...

Me neither. But that's not my call. (I'm not a WI Prime member either)

LOL same here. I have held off for years but this was the final straw.

Plus, excitement for Zona Alfa finally motivated me to read Roadside Picnic!

Really looking forward to this but I'm going to be different - I'm actually looking to use a US setting (per Roadside Picnic), mainly as most of my collection of minis lends itself better to hot climes. I'll start a thread for STALKER: New Mexico when I dig out some minis.... (going to use Los Alamos instead of Chernobyl as the centrepiece/deus ex machina).

I have also been toying with doing a Southwest Apocalypse, although in my case not really "Zona Alfalfa" so much as a hot weather zombie outbreak loosely inspired by (the beginning of) Resident Evil 5. But anyhow, I have been eyeing Sarissa's South of the Border range for this purpose:

May fit what you're thinking, too, Cypher226
