Given the dog a bone
« on: April 02, 2018, 08:22:13 PM »

Not very special - just a die, but scratchbuilt it is. I cut it from a bone, filed it into shape and drilled numbers in there. 100% organic and good for gaming now!

Very cool. Did you make it by hand? And if so, how?

Now you just need to test-roll it 100,000 times to make sure it rolls true.  ;)

I usually cook the bovine shin slice in my soup, leave the beef in there and give the dog to the bone.
When he had finished his meal I took the shin and cut one rectangular piece with a metal saw. The rest was filing, sanding and drilling by hand.

Now you just need to test-roll it 100,000 times to make sure it rolls true.  ;)
I did a hundred times and it was good enough.

I made my custom and scratch built die from resin.

See this link;

I've often thought of making them from soft stone.....

Tell new people it was made from the skull of your last opponent.

No physical die generates 1-6 with the same probability for each number. The goal is to have dice with as similar probabilities for 1 to 6 as possible.
