molecatcherjohn, you can found usefull informations on the 37mm TR mle 1916 here : Provisional Instruction for the 37mm gun model 1916 ... and i have some blueprints of the tripod who are not in the document ...

BTW, i suggested Michael Perry something about the ER26 bis meharist radio set ... this kind of stuff :

with 2 senegaleses manning the generator ...

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

Tinky-plinky AT guns and infantry guns I get.

If it wasn't for those 45mm Johnny-come-latelys the 37mm would be the '88' of my battlefields.  ;)

I know Michael loves the early period of WW2. Besides Tunisia/Sicily 43, the early North and East African campaigns are a favourite of mind too.

Hi Helen.

Who knows then, maybe we'll see some Gideon Force Sudanese, Ethiopian Arbechgnog, Somalis, Royal African Rifles and other assorted exotics added to the range someday?

Operation Torch is pretty much where my interest wanes however and I've no interest in the Afrika Korps; just Commonwealth, French and Italians for fickle old me.

 :)

Hi Jim,

I understand completely. The Germans to me are not as important as the Regio Esercito in investing my time in painting and collecting.

Cheers!
Best wishes,
Helen

hmmm...not sure that's a good candidate - isn't that just the 105 but without the muzzle brake? FYI the Pak 38(R) should be coming out some time from Perry's...

Any other suggestions? North Africa/not done before/unusual are good criteria.

This suggestion meets all your conditions: Sd.Kfz. 6/3 Diana. It was used only in North Africa, no one makes it and its very unusual.

Hopefully they’ll do some standard crew for the gun as well. They popped up in Madagascar and IIRC Lebanon as well.
