Well, this is quite an old project (I've started it in 2014) though, now it reached a point where it can be called a self-sufficient force.

Leader of noble origin. According to his base, some Byzantines suffered a bit...

Syrian cavalry. I'm a fan of "medium cavalry", despite my common sense tells me, that this term is purely encyclopedic  :)

Ahdath urban militia. Responsible, humble and nearly useless... The only non-converted unit in this force.

Ahdath archers/slingers. At least, they fight from a distance and have better chances to flee if battle plan goes awry.

Ghazis. Appearance of these guys was inspired by their modern collegues.

Kurdish mercenaries. The last (in fact, the first) unit in my collection. Inspired by McBride's illustrations - especially their shields design.

They are a bit tasty!

Lovely bright colours. I often see figures painted like this and really like the look, but never mange to replicate it on my own figures. Perhaps I will have to aim to imitate this look...

You can paint. :)

Thank you, gentlemen, glad to read )))
Yes, those persians bought at a great discount turned to become a real treasure ))

And speaking of armenians - I'm currently working on some additions to the Cilician force also.

I thought I saw some Wargames Factory Persisns. I also have a load of these I got on sale years ago. Good job on the conversions.

Great work- nice use of WGF Persian infantry there. I used some for my own Al Andalus/Taifa kingdoms  coversions.

Not only persian infantry, but persian cavalry also. And as you can see, no GB plastic arabs at all (only some heads and shields).
