Wow nice temple!

(and the figures are alright too, I guess...  ;) ;) ;) )

This should be good!  :)

Cheers Gents.
It's going a little different. The first league is pretty much painted. The armoured car is for the first league. The lorry for the warlords canon fodder.
And the third is a tweaking of an unreleased adventurers car ,which is for the second league.
I've not quite made my mind up ,on the interior of the temple though.

Seems like a classic central statue (maybe with small braziers at the base) would be the obvious choice.

I assume you're making it a separate piece to allow multiple options?

I really like the temple, especially the way the top of the walls is detailed so it looks like a ruin when the roof is removed.

Not far off Lon lol,
I was heading down the silk road and off into the mountains in search of  ???.
Since the Russians didn't manage to kill of Sogdin culture till the 1980's.I'm going to have the locals have the slightly Tibetan /stepp As it seems about right for the area. As it appears to be more about colours rather than styles in the area.
Here's  the inspiration for league two.

Fram,
Definitely separate pieces for the temple,As its too big for a one trick pony.
The walls will be a decaying Roman theme. It's more a case of should the statue be Chinese in influence for the game. Then how much, Also I'm quite taken with this pose for scenery out side the temple.

Lovely stuff, especially as I’m also heading down the Chinese path for my own Pulp Alley experience.
Enjoying the game is ALWAYS more important than winning the game.

What did you use for the roofing material on the temple?  I've been scoping around for something similar for my Roman buildings...

You've got quite a useful set of buildings there. I'll be keeping an eye out for your progress.

The roof isn't anything interesting (cereal packet). It's the method that's useful as it works on all materials. In fact I've used it with three ply,and guttering for a display.

For speed on the temple I ended up with nine rows of tiles.each nineteen tiles in length. Simply because its 19cm by 9cm.
Then you add 2mm per row of tiles ,so its now 19cm by 10.8cm. Mark out the rectangle to those dimensions.
Then you draw a horizontal line 1cm up from the lower edge. Then a 2mm gap and another line.then back to a 1cm gap.Repeat all the way up to the 10.8cm mark.(note the last line will only be a 1cm gap with no 2mm gap on top)
Then you do the vertical lines 1cm apart along the 19cm line. Then cut 20 strips 12cm by 2mm.Start at the leading edge and glue a strip on every one of the nineteen vertical lines. You should have a strip on both edges of the card as well.
You simple cut the nine strips of tiles on the 12mm line(1cm+2mm).
Once you've done that you go back and cut away the top 2mm strip back to the remaining line on the tile lengths. So you effectively have a strip of card 19cm by 12mm, with 1cm high strips along its length and a 2mm gap on the leading edge.
then attach to the roof and over lap by 2mm. ( covering the 2mm gap on the layer below.) finishing with  the 1cm strip(no 2mm gap).then you just make a ridge tile strip.
It's an exceptionally faster method than it sounds.

Mark.
