Thanks, Muz.  Eventually it'll all come together in an finished game and finished assortment of miniatures - I'm pretty close to having all the miniatures painted that are necessary for the initial game print.

Nice terrain and figures.  I am especially interested in the simple grey-tone basing.  It clearly works well in your dungeon setting, but I imagine it would not look out of place on a grass mat, in a forest  or even inside a building. I might change my basing!

Regarding the basing, it was definitely a...weird choice, but this entire Fantasy collection has been geared toward one thing; the dungeon crawl.  My other miniatures for other games are given a more generic brown/grass tufts style basing.

I was playing a bit of Mordheim, but even then I was using a ruined cobblestone style mat so it looked okay, but yeah on a grass mat they'd look a bit odd/out-of-place.

For their main purpose though, and because I'm actually using photos of them in the dungeon for rules/card images, etc....the crumbled dungeon bases are it

Just a quick phone pic (my camera batteries ran out and I don't have any laying around); "The Horned King, Tyrant of Eyr", a legendary encounter for my game...he's a Reaper metal fella, Krass something.

Had a play-test today...and this picture sums it up nicely:


The Warrior and Wizard are left behind by the Dwarf who flees...they awaken an angry Wyvern and escape by the skin of their teeth.  The Elf...he perished in the dark, stabbed by goblins.

This was the mess of a table after the game:

I whipped up a quick Dwarven Forge dungeon for the first time.

Thanks, it was a quick "toss this out without thought" kind of build.

I am excited to build a proper dungeon in the future though.  I have a lot of DF stuff and will be ordering some more (more interesting bits, more doors, traps, elevation pieces, etc.).  Right now I game on a table that has other uses so I can't spend an evening setting up a table for the following day most of the time.

There is a LOT you can do with the stuff I have, so some time I'll have to take a proper crack at it.  I'm flirting with the idea of buying a nice Ziterdes hard foam Tavern as well just...because.

Absolutely love your dungeon. Sure I've said it before but it deserved to be said again.

Krass is a great mini I'd never seen before. Also very keen on your take on the Oathmark goblins. As ever, a lot of inspiration here.
