Locations?

It seems that peoples locations no longer appear alongside their posts.
Wondered why I was getting mail asking my location when I have it listed in my profile.......only to check and see it is not actually showing anymore.

Is this deliberate or an as yet unresolved transfer problem?

Members locations are interesting to know at first glance, as there are so many members from different countries etc. on the forum.

The locations aren't shown on the smaller profile like in the old file but they still appear if you click on the member name and go to that page.

That’s fine if you seriously need to know someone’s location but for the idle “I wonder where he’s from” whimsy, the old system had it covered and I think we miss something without it. Not high in the list of features but a curiously nice one.

If you really want a location to show in your profile then

1) go to profile then open your forum profile and choose the Personal Text option.

2) simply type in Location: XXX and update your profile

3) now your location will show up

Strange that the "personal text" box displays but the "location" one next to it on the profile that actually has all this info already does not.

Having a location showing makes it a lot easier with which trade/sale threads in the marketplace to look at.
