Nord's Viking Saga
« on: April 07, 2018, 07:22:56 AM »

I picked up some V&V minis last year and finally made a start on the painting. These two are half a unit of berserkers. The other two are under way and hopefully will be joining soon.

A few notes and more pictures on my blog - https://paintsngluenrocknroll.blogspot.co.uk/2018/04/berserker-brace.html

Thanks for the comments, nice feedback.

Here's a link to the mini company. If you do order, be aware that they take about a month to ship them to the UK. Worth the wait.

The painting is superb . My attention was caught by the haft of the axe carried by the wolf skin clad figure . I think it’s the first time I,ve seen wood painted in a believable manner .

Thanks all, very nice of you to comment. I get a lot of ideas from pictures of re-enactors rather than other minis.

Indeed, wood is not generally brown, unless varnished. Though obviously, I must try a bit harder with my BEAR skin.  :D

That pale Scandinavian skin tone is just superb. Makes me cold just looking at it!
