Ending the Ritual
« on: December 11, 2018, 03:44:11 AM »
This was the last game of our fall campaign. All of the players but one managed to make it to the game.

The scenario was a modified "The Ritual" scenario from AoS actually. As the arbitrator I ran the Chaos cult gang and the Inquisition gang.

Two of the players had been involved in a Spook Harvest scenario for their last game, conveniently enough, and gangers that had been exposed to the spook had to make a WIL check each time they activated or gain a chaos token. If they had actually managed to manifest powers because of the spook they were at a -2 to the roll.

If any ganger got a chaos token they were -1 to subsequent rolls. If they got their third chaos token they turned into a Daemonette. This happened twice.

The two gangs exposed were both Van Saar gangs. They chose to set up near where the inquisitorial warband was going to be, fortunately for me.

The other two gangs were Goliath and Cawdor, with Cawdor showing up near the ritual site.

One other element was a rogue imperial pilot who had caught wind of the chaos movement. He was not privy to the plan by Inquisitor Duhr to shut down the plot so he was going to blow up the warp gate itself isolating the dead eldar ship from Necromunda and hopefully destroying it in the process.

As it turns out, while the other gangs were dealing with the cultist warriors, the corruption in their own midst and the Inquisition the Cawdor gang was able to get to the site of the ritual through a mob of crazed civilians and gun down all the cultists performing it before they could summon whatever it was they were trying to bring forth.

They are indeed.  Sometimes I use Oderus as a Chaos demagogue and Slymenstra and Balsac as champions.
