Caribbean Pirate Town
« on: April 11, 2018, 08:11:17 PM »
Hi all,

for my pirate gaming I am working on a little pirate town set on a Caribbean island.

After finishing a few jungle sections which I had laying around for years, I recently finished the pirate buildings from Games of War. Now the latest addition is the Spanish church from Empress Miniatures.

Hope you like it.  :)

Wow!
Do You happen to know which sort of plant the trunks are ... or were? Looks vaguely familiar.

Thanks in advance!
best wishes

Thanks for the nice comments, guys!

@Drachenklinge: I don't know about those tree trunks. I bought them as they are, see this post. I does look like something you'd find in a pet shop or aquarium supplies or similar.

What a great looking pirate town!

Thanks for the nice comments, guys!

@Drachenklinge: I don't know about those tree trunks. I bought them as they are, see this post. I does look like something you'd find in a pet shop or aquarium supplies or similar.

The trees were made buy a chap called Barry Carter (who seems to have dropped off the face of the planet unfortunately) and as far as I am aware they are no longer available.  Baker Co who stocked them are out of stock.

The trunks are made from twigs from coconut palms

If you want some the easiest way is to buy a table mat or runner

Can you send the governor's daughter up in a balloon equipped with a sketch pad, brushes, and watercolors, please, for a nice aerial shot.

Meanwhile, an explanation of the source of the aged groundwork is in order, if you'd be so kind.
