Got my order of MDF but it's not cutting very well, not sure if it's the laser or if it's the MDF, it's quite fussy if the MDF is too dense it doesn't cut very easily and there is no way to tell. Looks like I've been unlucky.

Started on the other tower and wing just because I've got other stuff to do (domestics) and I can leave it cutting.

I also rigged up a cooler for the Laser water, MG-B heater matrix and some case fans!

I'm in awe of people who can create models like this from scratch. If I tried it would just look meh. Can't wait to see it finished in all its glory.

Thanks all! Central part started. Took a while to decide on the geometry and still need to work out the roof.

28mm chap for scale. Remember this is really 1/100ish!

Also don't forget there is a 2" plinth below all this lot!

Run out of plaster nearly (1kg) so ordered some more.

I've left gaps for the carving bits... still not sure how to do them yet!
I also need to sculpt/cast the pots on the roof line and find some suitable statues

Oh and make the plinth...
