Crockett's last stand
« on: April 12, 2018, 08:34:32 PM »
Although the Texan war of independence is not my favourite subject, the fantastic figures from Boot Hill miniatures caught my eye for some time now, and with the release of "Crockett's last stand" I gave up any resistance. I'm planning to do a small vignette on a custom base I've ordered already and for that, I first had some experiments with posing the minis to optimally tell the story for the viewer. This will be the final version:

I finished the first miniature, David Crockett himself, already:

And the next one, work in progress only. Blocked in colours and a wash.

Superb sculpts by Matthew Bickley, a joy to paint! Untill next time ...

I guess I'm far enough down the line to be left with "stunningly superb" paint job.

sorry I must annoy Nick ... I noticed a little detail: crocket must have a very old rifle to have two toolboxes on his butt when he should have only one right and l support plays on the left ;)
