Nice walls, mate.
 8)

I have once again been building more walls to populate my table. I have even begun to toy with the idea of going full Bibbles and do individual bricks..

 :o
Dont do that!
You have seen the side effects of that sort of behaviour firsthand.
You have been warned!
 ;D

Next up will be some corner posts. I think I have figured out a good way of doing them.

Looking forward to seeing this.

As it is first of may I have had half the day off. So I figured I would use the time to do some working mans pickup trucks.

As threatened. Here are the first of the wall support pillars.

Also in other news. I got this 1/48 HH 60 Pave Hawk. Now I am debating with myself whether I should leave it as is. Or repaint it in grey or tactical black. What is the opinion of the LAF braintrust?

Nice solution with the walls, they look great.
And now, so versatile too.
Result!

As for the Hawk: Leave it as it is for a while and see how you feel about it later.
It works perfectly fine as it is and you may have a different brainwave.

Great set up  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
The copter is a great addition and the black suits it and I think it makes it look less like a toy

Dear Dr. Zombie
I know the chopper is most likely your favorite toy at the moment but I have to start with the wall. The look smashing. The posters, shapes, and colors really work well (I am still searching for graffiti though). I am looking very much forward to trying it out soon. We should find time next week.

Of course, the chopper is also great. I think that goes without saying. How high up is it from the playing surface? Are there plans for ropes?

Cheers
Erik

I have had plans for some fast ropes to act as a "flying" base. But the balance in the chopper is somewhat off, so I cannot really make it work.

But i have done some weapons for the newest trucks. An M40 Recoilless Rifle and a ZSU-23

Here is the entire fleet of technicals. All weapons are magnetised and removable.

AAR

American Marines have assaulted the stronghold of a local militia warlord. But their intel was bad and the warlord was not in his stronghold. But now he is returning and the Marines will have to fight their way back to safety.
Overview as the battle starts.

The Marine Lt. and his command staff rides in the Hummer with the Mk.19 while fireteam one rides in the one with the .50 cal and fireteam two readies to run a Mogadishu mile back to base.

A sniper team and an MG team who have provided overwatch and covering fire during the assault now positions themselves to cover the retreat.

The Militia fan out to try and outflank the Marines

One of the technicals spot the repositioning of the M240 gunner and opens up with the .50 killing him and suppressing his teammate. At the same time Rpg fire and small arms supresses the lead Hummer.

The sniper team throws a smoke grenade to block the view of the technical with the fearsome ZSU-23 gun. And start to pour fire into the .50 cal technical in order to take out the gunner, but without success.

More militia reinforcements arrive.

One of the flanking Technicals are taken out by a well placed grenade from one of the Marines in fireteam two who are slugging it though the area on foot.

The Marines call in reinforcements to get some more guns into the fight. Unfortunately their timing is completely wrong and as the Blackhawk arrives it blows away the smokescreen giving the ZSU-23 on overwatch an excellent shot at the helpless marines roping down onto the roof of the building to reinforce the sniper team. Chunks and red mist was the only reinforcements they got.

Despite the catastropic reinforcement attempt by the Marines the leathernecks on the ground are slowly getting the upperhand with their superior weapons and amrksmanship. Most militiamen are now either wounded or supressed to a point where returnfire is completely inefective.

As a final act of defiance a one RPG of a wolley hits its mark from across the battlefield and kills two Marines.

But despite that the remaining living marines make their way back to the safety of their base. Fireteam two still hoffing it all the way.
