Quendil's All Quiet on the Martian Front
« on: April 19, 2018, 09:01:32 AM »
I thought I had a thread on this but can't seem to find it.  I have been playing this game since the Kickstarter and its my kids favourite.  Even with the demise of Alien Dungeon I carried on getting what stuff I could for it and since the guys from Miniature Market bought the rights to it the other year they are slowly releasing new models which is great.

I have already painted up quiet a large force of BEF and Canadians for North America along with Martians.  For the past year I have been painting up a North African BEF force along with a Martian Pod.

My British Force so far

British Troops
1 x Radio Command Truck
1 x Command Stand
1 x Fuel Truck
1 X Ambulance
1 x Armoured Car Squad (3 Elements)
4 x British Infantry (2 Elements Each)
3 x Highlander Infantry (2 Elements Each)
2 x British Mounted Infantry Camel Troops (3 Elements)
2 x British MG Units (3 Elements each)
1 x Heavy Field Guns (3 Elements)
1 x Field Guns (3 Elements)
1 x Coil Gun
7 x Support Trucks (4 Large for Gun Tows and 3 Small for Gun Tows)

Support squadrons for my British North African forces.  A Wheeler Squadron, Heavy armoured car platoon and a Light armoured car platoon.

Bedouin Troops consisting of
2 x Bedouin MG Units (3 Elements each)
3 x Bedouin Cavalry (3 Elements Each) 2 on Horseback 1 on Camels
2 x Bedouin Infantry (3 Elements Each)

HMLS Churchill a Revenge Class Landship for the British North African Force. The main part has now been finished.  I just need to paint up some crew for it and finish the Wheelie tanks.  I may at some point ad a crane on the back for recovery of the Wheelies.

Martian Pod so far

2 x Scout Tripods (1 with Targeter)
4 x Assault Tripods (1 with Black Dust)
Harvester Tripod
Gatherer Tripod
Royal Scientist Tripod
Dominator Tripod

Still to come includes Grenadier, Slaver, more Assault and a Reaper tripod. Along with drones and the Overseer Tripod to finish.

Nice collection!

I especially like the Landship, that I presume you scratch built.

How are you going to put together the Overseer? He's supposed to be pretty big.

The landship is from Conqueror models https://conquerormodels.com/product-category/15mm-sci-fi/ , I also use some of their tanks for my Canadian forces.

With the overseer I am sure it will involve lots of pinning and epoxy resin

Really inspirational work, thanks for sharing...

I have a chest full of AQOMF from the original kickstarter and other bits that have been collected over the years, I think they need digging up and starting on now.

What make is the huge landship please?

Love to see some AAR's and more pics..

Overseer now built.  The tentacles where very poorly cast and I managed to glue the middle part back to front but it looks ok for now.  Just need to get some paint on it.

The Overseer is looking tremendous. It will be a dominating mini on the table.

Did you make this or buy it?
