Nice conversions. What was the Janissary based on?

Body (including legs) is a Wargames Factory Persian, head is Wargames Factory (now Warlord) WSS infantry grenadier, arms and gun are Perry ACW zouave (with misc. plastic extending the barrel), and the sword is Warlord ECW.

Looks better than the sum of its parts but I can see why you wouldn’t want to do a whole unit. I’m trying to do something similar for 18th Century Ottomans but  l am going to cast up some parts to add to the Perry Zouave figures.

Thanks! Zouaves are one of my favorite kits, most of my cossacks were made from them, and I've used their heads all over the place!

Here are my TAG tufekci. No conversions (though I do have plans for converted reinforcement...), standard Dragoon rules in play.

Really like your Tough Ecky dragoons, do they come from Yorkshire?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Thanks again, had to google "ecky" to get that joke.

Now that I've got a decent chunk of troops, time for someone to boss them about. The Sultan comes from Warlord Games in both mounted and foot version, and the other guy is from The Assault Group. Still no conversions, gonna have to fix that soon...

An army I always want to do, but never have gotten around to it.
And probably never will. lol

Project isn't dead, so it's time to resurrect the thread!

Here are more sipahis, less elite than the last batch due to lacking lances and barding.

Warlike postures and nice paintjob, although the lens did not make them justice as there is a lot of reflection.
Hope you will send us more photos, you are crating a very nice collection!
Cheers!

Yeah, I'm getting back into the hang of this stuff. I think this one's a bit better?
