gorgeous dwarves dwarfs?!

Like the way you assembled those goblins too, hadn't thought about putting the shield on the back with weapons in both hands! Gonna copy that for sure.

They look so good. Both work really well in opposition to each other.

Orcs, Wolves & a Troll for Middle Earth. The Orcs are a combination of Oathmark metals & plastics, wolves are metal from North Star, the troll is Reaper Bones.
I have just finished some more Orcs & another group of Conqueror Models Dwarves, more on them later.

I just can not get enough of your color palette. The troll in particular looks so good in those muted earth tones.

Very nice paintng!  :-*

I have that bones troll, and really should get him painted up, too, but I am having trouble firing up my painting mojo after a stressful period where I did not have any energy for doing hobby stuff. Well, I'll keep looking at other peep's work until I catch the spark again...
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Beautifully painted figures - the muted palette is perfect for the subject matter

The Oathmark miniatures are great for Middle Earth as you have very effectively proven here. Loving your work especially love the choice of colours on that Reaper Troll.

Some alternative Orcs I've been experimenting with. I purchased a couple of the Reaper Bones Orcs to see how they would fit with my Oathmark Goblins. The older Bob Olley sculpts seemed a much better fit, the later styled "Orc Grunt" was massive. I plan to keep the "Orc Grunt" as a champion or bodyguard type, but will not be purchasing any more. The Bob Olley sculpts are still a tad larger than the Oathmark range, particularly when you take the bandy legs into consideration, but I think they will work for Middle Earth. I converted the spear carrying orc because the original weapon was bendy & like a tree-trunk - he now has a Wargames Atlantic skeleton spear & an Oathmark plastic goblin shield. I've finished a couple more & tried head swaps, alternative weapons & greenstuff furs - photos later.

I tried a number of comparison photos which might be useful to get an idea of size. Comparisons are with Oathmark Goblins (metal & plastic), Gripping Beast metal Dark Age miniature, GW plastic Ranger and a Conqueror Models Dwarf.
