28mm WW2 "Blackshirts" for North Africa
« on: April 21, 2018, 05:42:18 PM »

https://yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk/2018/04/28mm-ww2-blackshirts-for-north-africa.html

Something a bit different this week.

A unit of Blackshirts for my North Africa Italian collection, a real home made "Wargames Conversion" (or botch job !).

I have used the Perrys Afrika Korps box set and the stocking cap heads from the American Civil War Zouave box to make what I believe the kids today call a "Mash Up".

Purists look away now, things may not be 100 percent right, don't want blood pressure increasing :-)

Hey Ken,

Those guys rock! Lots of character.
Who cares if they aren't 100% historically accurate... they got "the feel."

excellent idea.
Had the Perry plastics been made more realistic, it might have been easier. DAK wore more italian and british uniforms than their own. But Khaki Drill looks basically the same, as do BA rifles
