Cheers Gents, :)

The colour scheme is borrowed from this period warship(almost tempted to build a compressed version.)
Right now I'm trying to find the box of furniture for  the ship.

The bit in front of the dish is the boiler part of the solar boiler.

As for a name I'd not really given it any thought . (God help me) I'll open it up to the hive mind.

Great work thanks for the updates.

The pictured ironclad is a good looking vessel!

Luverly.
What's that thing on the boom meant to be opposite the radar dish?

And, the 'radar dish' should be a focusing solar mirror for the boiler.

Of course, if  you were sporting a 6mm crew, I'd suggest 'Duke of York' from Space 1889, as I assume part of the inspiration, but it's a thing to make me breath funny, no matter the origin. OR scale! :-*

Excellent!

And, big thanks to me mate, VSFGamer, for pointing this out.

I've just caught up with this. I'm glad you're restarting it, and very pleased that I was able to help you get back to the project. It's looking beautiful, and I really like the solar boiler. As others have also said, the colour scheme is fantastic.

Wonderful - the weathering is highly effective and makes it look real.

The good weather this weekend has been perfect for a little top up painting between a sea of family barbeques.

Still a shed load to do but I'm getting there.

Interior?!?

I don't remember anything about an interior! :o

I was ready to  have figs fighting on the deck when clad in grey. Just better and better! :-*

The external colour scheme is fantastic, I especially like the green/red (Presumably port/starboard) on the propeller housing, but the interior is lovely, a little and rather opulent bit of home for the martian nobility.

Why is the Union jack on the red ensign get cut off half way?

And one question from my son: where does the loo flush?

Beast,
Sorry some how I forgot to reply to your earlier question. It was originally intended for Space 1889. It's a hybrid of original art in the rules and the ship building rules. Which work fine in 2D. But once you try to make them 3D, you get a real nagging feeling that the whole thing was written by someone with absolutely no mechanical sense.

Andy,
Port and starboard coloured engines were always on the cards, admittedly a moment of doubt once I'd paint the first engine green.
As for the Union flags.
It's the result of trial and error. No flag and the whole side looks disjointed as the grey of the panel is a much larger block of colour than the previous smaller panels . The flag breaks up the panel and makes the transition from the sides to the 'Head/bow' of the ship seem less clumsy.
A full union flag looks lost when proportional to the panel. So I opted to use half a union flag. As the full union flag on top is pretty much visible all the time it reminds you of the full flag when you look at the half flags. Because they're of a similar size. The bonus of making them all of a similar size . Is I only had to cut out one flag.

As for the toilet. I'm working on the concept that the grey water,is recycled through the hydroponics of the greenhouse.
It'll seem more plausible once the interior is completed.
If you include the connecting corridor, there's eleven playable areas inside the ship.
And for a sense of scale (whilst I'm fitting the interior) the connecting corridor comfortably holds six 25mm round figure bases(round because that's what's on the figures I plonked in the corridor.)

Thanks for the comments gents ,as its quite a paint to organise time to finish it.they're greatly appreciated.

Mark
