So this project is going to be a big one! I got back into painting miniatures about ten years ago now, and the only reason I got back into it was to paint figures from the Lord Of The Rings from GW.
It was awesome in the beginning as I love Middle Earth but after some problems with the line I was turned off of it.

And then I found the Oathmark line of Fantasy figures they just scream Middle Earth to me and as more kits came out I can now start a book style project for Lord Of The Rings  :).

I was going to take my time and get a good start before if posted but after a few great projects got posted on this forum I decided its time to finally...

Return to Middle Earth...

These pics suck and the Dwarves aren't based properly and don't have shields yet but i will get it done soon.

My first Dwarves are from Ered Luin, The Blue Mountains.

Next a couple of dwarf champions and a King.

And a Dwarf trader having a hard earned pint.

Thanks for reading i'll be back with better pics, more Dwarves, elves, goblins and all sorts of character conversions!  :)

You're off to a good start!

I really would wish that the Oathmark Dwarves did not have those small 'shoulder pads' on the arms, I don't understand that design choice.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

The elves also have "shoulder pads".  The reasoning is these cover the sometimes dodgy shoulder joints of multipose plastic figures.

Thanks a lot guys!

@Argonor yeah I was abit turned off at the start with them but they do make for a lot cleaner join on the shoulders than most other chain mail  armour in other plastic kits.

I’m just hoping eventually North Star do a halfling set for Oathmark then I’d be set since it’s pretty hard to find good halflings out there.

Next up is some townsfolk of Bree.

Just a small update this time,

I decided to take a break from dwarves to paint up one of my favourite characters, Barliman Butterbur, Inn keeper of the Prancing Pony.

He's a reaper 77084: Townsfolk: Innkeeper with a green stuff beard.

Thanks for reading
