He is called "Oberon", oh mighty Tjub, and was sold by Hasslefree. Currently it seems he's sold out, but afaik this happens regularly with HF and will be refilled soon:
https://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=oberon~hfx015&category=fantasy-%26%0D%0Asteampunk~fantasy-daemons-%26-faerie

And I agree, he is superbly scaled for 15mm (and rather strangely not for the scale he's intended to be used in)...

As I‘ve already narrated in my other 15mm thread, a forced corona break and some other r/l issues gave me time to go through my collections, and I have been resurrecting my 15mm projects again.

Here are some results of my going through my collection.

Some of the awesome picts produced by Copplestone Castings now distributed by Northstar. When they came out several years ago, I was totally crazy for them. Mark Copplestone was a hero of mine since I discovered the Fantasy Warriors boxed set at a small tin soldiers fair in my hometown…probably more than 30 years ago!

These picts resembled exactly what I imagined them in the Conan novels. I even was in short email correspondence with the maestro himself and sent him some real archaeological finds for the hero set.
(Older works, just freshly photographed)

And some more:

Roughly 30 years divide these models. The giant is from an army set sold by Grenadier and bought at the holy place of Spiel und Fantasie in Essen. Mark Copplestone’s Barbarians were the very first army I possessed that I bothered to fully paint. The giant is actually 28mm but works equally well with 15mm; it was repainted slightly (highlights added). The columns are another set originally designed for 28mm (GW‘s LotR), but imo it’s much better used for 15mm.

And a final post (for now; I have recommenced painting):

Kane, a Northman exiled for manslaughter and now roaming the young kingdoms, is accompanied by his friend Brundgor, the famous troll-king, who liked to adventure. Models by Copplestone Casting; some more of their excellent barbarians in the other pictures.

Inspiring work! I have had some of those figures in the lead pile for much too long, yours make me want to dig them out and paint some.

Thank you LouieN and Pattus Magnus, I do have indeed a thing for classic „conanesque“ barbarians ever since I saw the old Copplestone Fantasy Warriors barbarians. His 15mm are even better imo. Sadly the project lost steam somehow and a lot of potential has not been used. Anyway they’re among the best 15mm minis available.

I know that problem. Dig them out and start small, with games like Song of Blades and Heroes, Crom‘s Anvil or CROM. You’ll not regret it!

15mm offers some of the best gaming opportunities combining reasonable prices with great detail. Here are some of my conanesque models next to Age of Sigmar terrain. A perfect fit and the AoS optics are suitably strange to go for Atlantis or Serpent Cult.

Florian‘s 15mm Fantasy (Upd. 221016: Geier‘s Raiders)
« Reply #68 on: October 16, 2022, 10:01:43 AM »
Geier‘s Raiders is the most dangerous warband the imperial border province of Burgland has ever faced. The former Knight Panther Garold Nairolf, now known as the Geier by a scared population, has embraced the worship of Tzeentch. He is accompanied by beastmen, a minotaur, a chaos troll and several raiders. Geier is responsible for at least two dozen documented raids and has vanquished two punishment expeditions sent by the count of Neuburg.
Models from Pendraken (the Geier), Demonworld, GW familiars and some old stuff I can’t remember where I got it from.

First rate.

Thank you, Kriegshund, the models are assembled for a round of Song of Blades and Heroes, and maybe FfoL Fantasy, but slowly I want to enlarge the group to be able to play Dragon Rampant with it. I’m nearly finished with my 15mm Chaos Dwarf army and need an opposing force.

Florian‘s 15mm Fantasy (Upd. 22-10-16: Chaos Raiders)

Another picture from my small, but growing 15mm Chaos collection.

What I really enjoy with smaller scales is integrating models from other scales and using them as something different than intended. Here is a Chaos warband roaming the border provinces. It includes models from the demonworld range sculpted by Werner Klocke, a beastman from a range I forgot as well as citadel miniatures chaos familiars who fit in very well. I use the models both as evil knights in a more down-tuned pseudoarthurian setting as well as chaos raiders in warhammer.

15mm versions of Elric of Melniboné (during his travels in the Young Kingdoms) and Rakhir the Red Archer. Models from Ral Partha AD&D (long out of production…sadly) and Demonworld sculpted by Werner Klocke and now sold by Ral Partha.

An evil knight (works pretty good as a Chaos Warrior in #minihammer ) who is a perfect model for Mordred fighting an evil cultist. Isn’t it soothing to know that all these evil fantasy armies spend so much time clobbering themselves? Next picture shows an orcish knoght on a quest. Will he join Arthur or Mordred?
2nd picture with an Orcish knight.
Models by the one and only Werner Klocke done for the demonworld tabletop. So many great sculpts can be found in that range!!!!

Last picture shows some models are from my pseudoarthurian project from a few years ago. A wise wizard leading an elven knight, a goblin and a sorceress into chivalrous adventures against giants, saracenes and the evil forces of Mordred!
