I’m looking for resin, NOT mdf, desert buildings. Any good sources out there?

It's much more fun to make your own, since most commercially available ones are too generic. Find a particular theatre or region, find a few photographic sources and off you go!

The Hovels ones are small. They're 25mm (possibly edging towards 20mm) not 28mm.
I like them as I like my buildings to have a small footprint, but if you're wanting them to scale with the larger 28s you may be disappointed.
They'd go well with the Perry WW2 plastics.

I picked up a couple of 28mm resin ones from Templar Wargames at Carronade yesterday. I don't think the ones I got are on the website yet, but this one is.

I can dig out the names for you if you're interested. They look pretty good and should paint up easily enough

I know you said non-mdf, but for completeness, https://www.timelineminiatures.co.uk/ do some MDF ones (i've just ordered one, so I'll see what it looks like when it gets here)

I just got a couple of village worth of buildings from Monolith Designs.
They have a range not on the site but similar to the adobe range, these were used in the touching history Sudan game.

Are they still in business?

These are not resin, however they are table ready, which I am assuming is what you are after. They are made from foam-core and are quite robust, and don't shatter when you drop them. :)  http://www.colonialsteamboat.co.uk/Products/Handmade/arab.html

This for sure!  Check out Matakishi's Tea House for easy to build buildings.  https://www.matakishi.net/making-things.html  Note that desert type buildings are particularly easy as they tend to plain, straight, textured walls, all easily built with straight cuts from cork board.
