I too liked the scones, which were much easier to swallow than all the Groboston lies.
We will return to avenge this (minor) setback.
Flatpack & JC scored almost TRIPLE the points needed for total victory!
JC (ex-navy) playing the Navy just did not know when he was in trouble. The Saladins (Heavy Brigade) kept throwing 6 after 6
(automatic pass, for those who have not yet had the joy of a game of AK47 with some mates)for their moral tests, while the
Ferrits (Light Brigade) charged off (into the valley of death) Recoiless rifles to the left of the.... Well you can guess how that ended.
Even one of his units that had lost all but one base BEFORE the game started (a wonderful fun thing called 'Political flow charts) and steadfastly refused to enter the battlefield until the very end, decided to come on next to a full strength unit of mine and....charge uphill to get at them. Then proceeded to take on 4 bases with his one...and WIN!!!!!!
As usual great fun was had.
Thanks to Mandy (Mrs Flatpack) who on a very busy Bank holiday weekend got plants for my wife from a very very busy garden centre, while I was busy playing toy soldiers.
