Dark Age, painting progress
« on: April 29, 2018, 11:13:50 AM »
No, I did not post in the wrong section. Dark Age, now published by CMoN, is a sci-fi game with a strong postapoc vibe. Set on a distant planet, outside the usual trading routes, with a harsh and unforgiving environment, that was used by corporations to do everything they could not do under sunlight (genetic research, weapons developement and so on) then abandoned once the central government collapsed. Dark Age depicts the stories and fights (especially fights) of the ones left behind: not just humans, but also the evolved result of bioweapons and robotic r&d. Plus a couple of hostile alien races for good measure.

Here I will publish my progress with Dark Age models, starting with the most recently completed one: Archangel Michael, from Forsaken faction (Holy Prevailer Council sub-faction), because no dark sci-fi setting would be complete without a faction of religious zealots.

More pics on my blog.

More infos about Dark Age on the offcial website, where you can download the free rulebook (with a introduction to the setting) and other documents.

Disclaimer: please keep in mind everything is painted for playing purpose, once they look fine on tabletop, I'm good. You'll not find crystal brush worth models here. This said, comments and critics are most welcome.

A couple more models:

Jza'Mhi, Fury Rekindled, a Dragyri of the Fire Caste.

A Soul Searcher, a Dragyri of the Ice Caste.

This one is one of the first Dark Age models I have painted, I'll have to re take the photo inside a lightbox...

Love that Fire-Caste guy. He has an old-school Marvel Comics vibe about him to my mind.  :)

Thank you, paintjob is "tabletop level", once they look good during games, I'm fine :)
