WoW! Both great entries...but Moriarty wins in the end for lookin' so damn evil!

This one was a super-tough call...

I like the overall look of Tsar's entry better but I thought that Orctrader had better individual detail (particularly facial detail). In the end I voted for Tsar, but I did think that the unfinished eyes gave his entry a slightly zombified look.. :o

Tough choice. The lack of the eyes on the first entry and the very evil and finished look of the second entry decided.

Hard choice indeed and for me it was the great background scenery which made me choose the first entry.

Yup, the plaid pants and Orctraders patented highlighting over black did it for me.  Since I own a couple of his gems I know what to look for that often doesn't really come through in the photos.  The highlights as well as his neatness really make Orctraders minis even better in person!

This was a tough one. I LOVE the set-up for Kansas 1851 - the buildings are a great backdrop, the painting is crisp, and the bases are really nicely done. However, the detail in Moriarty's gang tips the balance in the end - the faces (the eyes!), the plaid pants, the scar and the stubble. So, even though I live in Kansas, I had to go for dastardly Moriarty, but it was a very, very close one to call.

Great job on both, but I felt that the set up in the first group (Kansas 1851) is what swung my vote. Best of luck to you both...you both deserve to win!!

Both are well matched and the setting and total look of the first picture won my vote. I also like the painting style more than Orctrader's...the highlights are a bit too strong for my taste.
