Martian hut of the plains
« on: April 30, 2018, 11:39:57 AM »
Martian hut of the plains
a bad boy gave me a Martian virus :D, I spent my day yesterday reading redplanet to learn more about it and design my hut
i wanted it to stay true to the spirit that james created without sacrificing my creativity i needed a simple concept as i will need many of these huts
it is inclined so that it resists the wind that sweeps the Martian plain, the awning and the door are made of Ba'baak bark
that's about all and I hope I have succeeded

sorry the ocher yellow lichen are not quite dry

That looks spot on for Mars, a perfect compliment to James buildings. Very well done. :)

Are you planning to make them all identical, shape that is, or each (slightly?) different while of a similar style?

all in all they will all be similar to a few small details even if I think to make a model a little bigger to represent a common house or a temple and there will be other elements to bring a little life to the together: a well, perhaps a watchtower, but the planning is still abstract (I still need to find out from Dr. oshiro, a great Martian specialist) lol
