This swiss pairings makes for a tough choice, especially when the theme is two things I am fond of. I love the mottled skin tones on the Stealer hybrids and when I look at the Danger 5 I keep hearing Colonel Chestbridge's voice " and of course your mission: Kill Hitler!"

There’s something about those Danger 5 figures I really like. Are they by Crooked Dice?

Yes, they are Crooked Dice. I was suprised CD sculpted them as I thought Danger 5 was just an Australian peculiarity https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z09bNgSeMI. 😉

AWu Those hybrids are great. Love the detail and the mottled skin tones remind me of the original Jes Goodwin paint jobs (desribed as using careful dry brushing which I could never really get to work).

Great entires both - Awu, I particularly like the dappling on the skin tones, looks great.

Let's get right to the biscuits!

A really tough choice, though. Maybe a Danger 5/40k-Crossover would be something for the next season:=)

The mottled skin tones got me, too. I just wish I could see them up even closer!

As I'm not so into 40K anymore these days, are the genestealers some new incarnation of the old models? And that hammer-wielding maniac is from the same range? Really like the models, and their painting and setup combined with the angled shot has something of a film scene for me ... Really good work!

Thanks.

Cultist are actually Deathwatch overkill models. Large guy is an Aberrant (new kind of devolved cultist - and he failed to photograph correctly god knows why..)

Those are snap fit models, but GW made almost identical (you will hardly know which is which) multi part variants of them too.
I actually prefer snap fits as they have better poses if a little more static and limited in number of poses.
Both sets are great and most can work for random humans in hazard suits as heads are separate and most lack definitive genestealer elements..
