Wow, great job on those Mantic skellies.  I thought they were far too fiddly to paint and could never get them looking right.
Both are nice entries.

The monogram on the skeleton shields is very clever. Well done ;)

I like both of these quite a bit, tough call.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

You let your artistic talent shine through in decrepit skellies liek this, *Mantic* scellies, even. I really like the Alpha-Omega design.

Great hoard you've got there, Jens. What scale are they?

I like both of these. The skeletons are great (filthy and aged, as the undead should be!) and I like verdant scene of the knights.

Isn't that the one Albrecht Dürer used to sign his works?

Yes, that's Dürer's monogram. It's both visually appealing and evocative, so it felt like a good design for shields.

Thanks guys! Indeed, Mantic skeletons are not the best. I hate the heads and shields the most; that's why I replaced them. This dusty-rusty paintjob can hide their other faults and allows me to accentuate a few focal points - their new GW skulls in particular. With these few tricks implemented, they can end up looking pretty decent. Plus, it's quite quick, so I can make a small skeleton army in no time. When the round is over maybe I'll do a step-by step tutorial.

The charging knights together with their backdrop make a scene that's pleasant to look at. I second Hammers' question on the scale of the models; my eye is untrained when it comes to historicals.

I think the knights are 28mm plastic Normans by Conquest Games - although I could be wrong.

It’s a nice scene of chainmailed might against a well composed sylvan backdrop.

The rusty grunginess of the skeleton warriors is extremely well done.

Two great entries again,

That sculpted (?) green-manish shield is beautiful  :-*

Those skeletons look like they just rose up out of a dusty tomb. Awesome effect! And to hear they're conversions, too -- well done!!
