[Sellswords] Daring Deeds & Dubious Decisions
« on: May 08, 2018, 01:16:07 AM »
Inspired by several of the nice posts in this forum, I too am jumping on the Sellswords & Spellslingers bandwagon.

I'll be playing at lunch hour at work, when time allows, so it will be a slow process - but I have at least mustered my band.

... with any luck, I'll be taking them on a whirl soon.

Got a bit of time in at lunch today. Set the game up and made it through three of the five characters in the very first round. There's definitely a bit of faffing around and looking up rules and so forth, but so far so good.

... hopefully I'll get a chance to play a bit tomorrow too, but then it's off for a business trip for a while.

Nice to see another fellow player of Sell Swords here.  There seems to be quite a few of us, now.
Nice report and miniatures.

Thank you :) - I'm really enjoying doing them this way and it makes up for the fact that I don't get that many games in.

I'm pretty sure it was the reports I saw on here that pushed me over the edge to actually get the rules and start playing, so thank you :)

Finally got a chance to do up the short turn I had last week.

The fight continues, right at the starting positions...

More great SS&SS, and clearly showing how different parties can be created, and how much variation there can be in a single scenario from game to game (as most games shown hitherto has been Through the Badlands)!  :)

Keep it coming - if you lose a couple of your party's members, and they do not turn out to be dead, you can always play a rescue scenario (on the Song of Blades FB group a guy posted one).  ;)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

SS&SS does seem to lend itself to alliterative story titles!  Nice report and pictures.

We played this with three players, each with 3-4 PCs.  Half of them survived.

I love the comic, are you using any particular software to do it?
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

We have just started a 2-player campaign using Sellswords, but we have had trouble getting it off the ground. We've played two games, Through the Badlands and Slippery Stones and in both games all the PCs have died! Not complaining, it's been great fun. Obviously we need to modify our tactics (not helped by the wizards' inability to cast spells and my tendency to snap bowstrings!). lol

Great reports, sounds like you have fun! I'm looking forward to reading more about the adventures of Thistle and her merry band...
