Crusader Miniatures doing Eastern Front Partisans
« on: May 11, 2018, 11:07:57 AM »
Mark Sims' next figures for his Crusader Miniatures WW2 range are East Front partisans.

Really  nice, should be available in the next week or so, keep an eye on the Crusader Miniatures website, they'll be a platoon deal for them as a launch promotion.

Oh help!

What can we expect to see in this range when it's finished?
A millionaire trapped in a peasants body!

Nice! They could flesh out my existing collection, I love Mark’s work, I’m just finishing off some of his figures.

Nick, could you have a word with Mark about some Winter War Soviets? You know, chaps in greatcoats with M36 helmets and/ or shlems? There are some nice Winter War Finns out there but nobody makes decent early war Russians. I had thought the gentleman’s agreement between Crusader and Artizan was that Mark did the early stuff.

Some summer clad Soviets, to do Khalkin Gol or Poland 1939 wouldn’t go astray either. They could be used or mixed with the current lot to do Barbarossa and beyond.

Wow!
All finished already, superb.

Yes, early war Russians seem like a good idea.

Great!!! Take more of my money why don't you!!!!

In all seriousness though these look extremely well sculpted and very useful miniatures! I have absolutely no doubt I shall be purchasing a platoon of them in short order  :-*

The moulds are not made yet, but I couldn't resist putting them up on the Crusader Miniatures website. We should be casting them next week.

The partisans on the Eastern Front are a terrible story, but I've always found it fascinating, in a horror kind of way. The film 'Come and See' was an early influence on me, and I read 'Cruel Hunters', a book on the worst of Hitlers anti-partisan units. Disturbing.

An interesting Partisan scenario would be the aftermath of Operation Bagration, having the 'boot on the other foot' using the Partisans hunt down and surround the ruckampfers
