Winter War
« on: May 17, 2018, 10:40:53 AM »
I thought I would pop in after a long time away and give you a bit of an update.  Recently I have been working on a new range of 28mm figures for the Winter War

The currently available Finns in winter smocks

The LMG and crews for both sides will be available soon, both moving and firing teams, more support weapons are on the workbench.

Ushankas didn’t really become a thing with the Soviets until after the Winter War. The Red Army adopted them after noting that the Finns had headwear better suited to the cold. The winter headress for the Red Army in 1939 was the old Civil War era budenovka.

Carlos is correct...some better research is needed. Great idea but you need to get the basics down.

Thanks chaps, will bear that in mind for the next batch.
I see it as the PBI scrounging what they can to make their life more bearable.
I should have asked here first!
