Essentially a wash of dilute 60% Flat Earth / 40% Yellow Green that was worked especially heavily into the run points, corners and lower courses, then the highlight colour very lightly drybrushed to the tops, upper courses and edges.

A very good choice, breaks the monotony and helps the eye to jump here and there and enjoy little details, your structure has too many to offer!

It’s no trouble doing the step-by-step as I need to have a record for other pieces I want to make.

The ivy doesn’t really add to the integrity of the structure (which is pretty sound) as it’s just tacked on with dots and/or smears of UHU. It’s quite a fiddly thing to do, as it involves tearing off a bit of ivy then getting the minimum amount of glue in the right place. Thus the leaves that work loose.

The placement of them look very natural (the ivy that is, not the rat poo).
