Are you going to be bale to lift it though?  lol

I think so. Though it’ll definitely flatten out the wrinkles in the terrain mat!

Final bit for today.

Though the scaffold for the floors is made from foamcore, it’s actually got a thin sheet of plasticard on top as a temporary glue barrier.

The new floating floor, looking through the doorway above the great hall to the doorway the other side.

And from the other side of the great hall (or whatever it’s called in a monastery) showing the rest of the steps up to the first floor.

I think that’s pretty much the basics of the block work done, which is much quicker than I expected.  Next stages will I think be as follows:

1) tidying up the blocks (scraping, cutting, drilling, etc)
2) filling the gaps between the blocks
3) adding plaster to finish off the stairways and to form vaulted ceilings beneath the floors
4) flagstones
5) a limited amount of rubble
6) sieved sharp sand for the earthen sections (such as either side the path through the courtyard)

Edit: BTW, I’ve decided not to add windows as I don’t think they’re necessary (they could have been in
The sections of wall that collapsed)

I'm sure that if there re enough short/low sections of wall to shoot over it'll be fine without  :)

So I decided to add windows, of which more in a mo.

I’ve also spread the plaster and marked out the flagstones. They’ll need scraping and sanding, which will lose a few to be replaced by soil.

Having now begun the flagstones, I’m inclined to cover the elevated floors with a similar effect.

Work done to the stairs to better define the steps. They’ll have a bit more carving when the plaster has set. The walls have also been scraped and sanded but the gaps have yet to be filled.

The other two  floor, showing their steps and vaulted ceilings, which will need to be carved when dry.

The courtyard arches with their formers removed.

Windows added to the front - drilled then carved.

A view of the central hall - it’s pretty clear from this shot that the first floors need flagstones  that match the ground level.

Next up
- scrape/sand flagstones
- carve/tidy stairs
- flagstones to first floors
- gap filling of blocks

Thanks folks  :)

I plastered and etched the flagstones onto the first floor levels. They look much better.

Looks already wonderful - and a clever idea to produce bricks and so on!

Gotta love a terrain project that actually uses scaffolding :)

The idea or using plaster for bricks is interesting, its slightly less mad then the foam brick approach.
