Apologies for the delay in responding.

Thanks for the comments.  :D

Regarding the ivy, each pad is  about 5mm thick so it should spread quite nicely.

Painting has now started with the base coat going onto the blocks:

Looks fat  lol

I'm assuming the ivy is like a pan scourer; as in it can pulled apart and separated etc.

 :D

The leaves are attached to something that is closer to rubberised horse hair than pan scourer (the strands are very fine). Definitely will tease apart to facilitate rambling (rather than blanket) coverage of ivy.

And the top coat of approx 25% VMC Sky Grey to 75% VMC White:

When it’s dry I’ll add a wash of green to the blocks and touch up the paint to the earthen areas

Thank you kindly folks  :D

I’ve now added a wash of dilute VMC Yellow Green and touched up any over-brushing to the groundwork.

And some close ups without the workbench detritus:

Next up is the vegetation .....

I am amazed by your abilities to transform those bricks to an impressive construction  :o and I believe that when you finish it, it will be one of your best works so far! Cheers!

Thanks DtD though I have to confess that after debate with (meaning advice from) LAF gaming buddies (Malamute, Dr De’Ath, Elk101 and OshiroMT) I have added more paint!

Essentially a wash of dilute 60% Flat Earth / 40% Yellow Green that was worked especially heavily into the run points, corners and lower courses, then the highlight colour very lightly drybrushed to the tops, upper courses and edges.
