Trousers weren't really a big part of the East African Arabs' wardrobe. It was all long robes with them, mostly of a sort that looked like a Victorian  nightshirt. Baluchis wore trousers, but again under their long robes. That's what I'd say if I was feeling particularly picky.

So logical? No, not so much, they don't really look the part to me. But that's just me. However, if nobody makes anything that more resembles the real thing in 15mm then they'd do, sure.

It's all about just how much of a fusspot you want to be. It always is.  :)

But they aren’t even remotely close, so no, not logical at all.  ;)

I wouldn't go so far as to say they aren't remotely close. Some Greenstuff skirts over their trousers would work wonders. The Hollywood curved scimitar was only one of three types of sword that prevailed among them too. Give some of them long straight swords and they'd be even better (even Copplestone didn't do that for the 28mm ones).

Personally I think these are a slightly better fit (I found them on the Old Glory website):

They still aren't perfect, though. The turban with the face-veil is very North African, and not really very East African. You have to make a compromise somewhere, I suppose and just pick the ones you like best.

I have a few of the 18 mm Capitan Corsair naval crews in stock:

Will they do?  Who knows?

Limited stock but you can buy individual figures.  Quantity discounts available.
