40mm Napoleonic Spanish Grenadiers
« on: May 23, 2018, 08:27:25 PM »
After waiting for an age for the Perrys to expand their 40mm Peninsular range, I gave in and had some figures produced. It's taken a long time, but I have finally got them in production and ready for painting.

I've added a couple of photos, one showing the 3 codes compared to a Perry, and another 2 with my first completed base. I've painted these as Provincial Grenadiers. I haven't painted the design on the bags as I don't know what it was for Provincial Grenadiers. At this scale, making it up isn't quite so easy to get away with!

Just to add, this isn't a commercial plug. I have had these made for my own use, although I did get a bit excited and had Griffin make more than I will really need.

Outstanding work . The figures are elegant and slim.

Can you do me some 40mm Highlanders AWI in long trousers/trews as they are the missing link in my collection.  ( l need about 60 )

Yes they do but sash and saber are about 2mm
shorter and don't really match Alex's style at front
Rank .  I have asked FR and would pay up front but it's on the backburner as he has far more commercial projects on at the moment .
A bit like on the never never.

Good point. You could nag Doug at Trident.

I have a list of figures I want in 40mm that are unlikely to be made by the big 4 (S&S, FR, Trident and Perry), as they are not commercially viable, but the cost and time of getting them made will make it a slow process.

I might need to sell off some spare Grenadier castings to help finance the next ones. I won’t do the KS route, it’s hard enough working at work let alone working for a hobby!

I have asked Doug , but he seems far more interested in the  SYW in America .  So no answers .My British line are 95% FR so if using Trident l would have to heads cast to match  the more finer, less heavier featured FR head style.
I live in hope.

Next project, 1st Battalion Saboya Regiment. Starting with the Grenadiers (naturally!), will take a while, painting the Flammes by hand 16 times!! Will need a Perry order to make up the rest of the Battalion.
