Ha, when your work with the galley inspired me to buy one too, I picked up the Viking ship as well :D
Curious to see what you do witht this one.

Oh and yeah, I came to the same conclusion of scratchbuilding a new figurehead.. which is a shame as I kinda like this one

Τhis is delightful work!
I think your Drakkar would make a fine Roman merchantman if you leave off the figurehead and the corresponding part in the stern, although you'de probably need to drastically rebuild the deck - you could make a cargo hold in the process.
Looking forward to seeing it develop!
