Blue Moons Dark Africa 18mm Range
« on: May 26, 2018, 09:13:58 PM »
I love it, have most every pack.

But I weep over their lack of musket armed natives, Ashantis, and casual dressed British Infantry (ie Third Ashanti War).

for their witch doctors and chieftains pack:

Am I the only one who gets a Kurtz/Marlon Brando vibe regarding that Chief in the middle?

Well, there be three chiefs in the middle...?

I have most of the range myself to be used for my Slightly Cracked Colonials.

However, your tears are misplaced, sir.  This range is not based on history but fiction according to Russ Dunaway, supremo of OG25s and thus BlueMoon Manufacturing by extension - me thinks.  Much more in a Rider Haggard mode than anything historical.  Also, Hollywood inspirations are included.

Perhaps you refer to the last of the three chiefs in the middle, bottom photo?  If so, I see what you mean - though it doesn't quite fit for me.  Brando was so bloated and out of shape he refused to be properly seen by the camera for the shooting of the movie.
