Today, on a cold wet day, six of us allowed our imaginations to transport us to warmer climes and we fought a battle between the British forces of Sir Ralph Abercromby and Jacques-François de Menou in Egypt.

A full account of the day is posted here http://stracmark.blogspot.co.nz.

The rules are homegrown and the figures are all Perry Miniatures.

Looks like a lot of fun Mark!!!!!!!! I continue to monitor your progress on the Egyptian front! And I am impressed by how fast you are turning out such nicely done units! Where do you find the time???

Also, given that GMB only makes some flags for the period, what are you using for your flags???

The British flags have been gleaned from various places on the web, brought into Photoshop and clraned up where needed. Then printed on a colour laser.

The French I have drawn up from scratch using a vector drawing application and again printing on a colour laser.

Absolutely gorgeous figures! You've recreated beautifully this exotic setting for a Napoleonic game. If I were to ever start Napoleonic again, I think this (or Wellington in India) would be my choice ...

And it's also nice to see more people doing the very colourful Egyptian campaign.
