I was very tempted by the alien heads - they are from the same designer.
If the droids are nice quality when they arrive I will probably also buy the heads.

These are the droids you are looking for.

One year ago, I wrote that good quality 3D printing was too expensive to be used for wargames figures. Here is my latest purchase - a set of Star Wars droids.
These arrived today and have had a simple black wash with Citadel Nuln OIl. I have not done any sanding or filing, nor removed any sprue bits yet.

Yes. I am very happy. Scale is perfect. Detail matches the best miniatures brands. Very little clean up is needed. They are expensive compared to standard war games figures but actually cheap compared to Games Workshop, FFG or Hasslefree character figures.

Indeed, they look great. Thank you Mick for posting pictures!

I wonder if Mel could be persuaded to make a version in WEG 25mm scale.

@Yoda
I recently bought some doors from Corvus Games Terrain (see page 1).
The first set were too large for my existing buildings so I asked them to print me six doors at 80% (I also gave them dimensions).
This was no problem to do and also cheaper than the first set.
I had them within a week.

I am not sure how this works on Shapeways but If you can contact Mel, I am sure that he will be able to shrink the files.

Hmm....if 25mm is possible, maybe 15/18mm is also an option...don't tempt me, dark side!

Here are the droids with some paint.
I tried to black line them using powders from the Revell Weathering Set. This was partly successful.
I tried again with a pin wash made from Payne's Grey artists oil paint and odourless mineral spirits.

Mick's Star Wars Legion Project - Endor Bunker 28th July 2018
« Reply #26 on: July 28, 2018, 03:50:20 PM »
Here is the latest addition - an MDF Imperial Bunker for Endor.
https://www.multiversegamingterrain.com/imperial-bunker-p-251.html

At Euro 25 this is very good value.
The building was built according to the instructions. I did not like the roof machinery in the kit so I decided to make my own. I used photocopy paper to line the walls to hide the construction tabs.

Here it is assembled and roughly painted. I still have not decided whether the domes will be made from a Prosecco cork (left) or a measuring spoon (right).
Still more painting and weathering to do

Now with weathering and rust.

I am still looking for a better solution to the roof domes.
The one on the right is made from a fruit shoot drink bottle top that I got in England.
Unfortunately I only have the one. I need to find something similar.
