This bit of info will help then.

Tubing for the flags is aluminium 3/32". The pole is 0.047" (or a bit more than 1 mm) piano wire. Both are available on ebay.

While we are on the subject, if one was to use the Foundry Conquistador figures as swordsmen and shot as Spanish in Europe, which manufacturers figures would be suitable as pikemen of the same period?

You could stick with Foundry I guess, Late 16th / Late Tudor range,

and TAG do something similar, I believe, though their site is down for maintenance this minute.

Look out for anything in a morion.

Hi Olicana, wouldn't they be rather smaller than the Conquistadores?  I've not seen them in person but I have the Perry ECW which are nice but a tad smaller than Copplestones.

Possibly, the 'Copplestones' are a chunky bunch. TAGs might be a better fit for height.

They do fit nicely with the Front Rank WotR stuff for size. In this pic, the unit with arquebus, the ones about to take on the crossbow unit in the foreground, is a Front Rank unit with a smattering of Foundry Conquistadores. That's where I mixed mine in, though for later stuff FR is not so hot. Having just checked on size, they wouldn't look out of place mixed with Old Glory stuff either.

I think you'll find that the Foundry Elizabethans are quite a bit shorter than the Conquistadors. I seem to remember that the Elizabethans are ever so slightly taller than the ECW but, because they were sculpted (for Citadel) in the 1980s, they are  still 25mm rather than the larger Conquistadors.
