First review of Dracula’s America: Forbidden Power
« on: June 01, 2018, 08:45:41 PM »
As H.P. Lovecraft fan I see the Church of Dagon as a must have. Although the Salem Sisterhood has pretty interesting background as well 👌 Madness rules look both funny and brutal.

Thanks to the guys from Wargames Illustrated!

This has been on my 'Must Buy' list since the first mention of the Elder Gods.

We're going to run a Nickstarter pre-order program for Forbidden Power, beginning next week.

There will be two new posses for the game, the Salem Sisterhood and the Church of Dagon.

Keep an eye on the North Star website for details, and I'll post here as well.

The Nickstarter for Forbidden Power has begun:

Contrary to what I put in the last reply, there are no Deep Ones after all.

Will the Zombie Townsfolk and the demon that was part of the same range eventually get re-listed to the shop once all the pledges have been delivered? Would be a bit sad if they'd end up oop permanently.

Fortunately, we have a lot of options for the fishes.

http://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=8980

Or CP models (they are like little fishes for the size):

Or the impressive (and I think they are OOP) Carnivale ones:

...and not forget Blind Beggar Miniatures, Black Cat bases, Reaper... I prefer North Star chums put their efforts in doing characters who are difficult to find, and options Lovecraftian creatures are (mostly) easy to find around different manufacturers.

Salem sisterhood looks easy to collect as you just need that one pack and the rest are just normal cowboys.

Odd, they neither showed up in the DA beastiary nor in the search yesterday. But then the site was loading fairly slow and acted a bit odd- probably I just looked for them at the wrong time. Who would've thought Zombies are that shy?

I’ve just gone in for the book and the salam sister hood. Went for the full pack as a few more cowboys will be useful.

We're nearly at the 2nd Spend Goal in the Nickstarter:
http://nstarmagazine.com/DRACULA_SHADOWS_OF_THE_WEST_FORBIDDEN_POWER.htm

We've also struck a deal with our chum Bob Murch to bring his Deep Ones into the UK. It's part of us taking the whole Crucible Crush range eventually, but he's rushing the Deep Ones over so they can go out with the Nickstarter. I've also worked out a 'post free' deal for people to add them to the Nickstarters already placed, the Nickstarter page has all the details.

Cheers
Nick

Cool!

This is ramping up steadily. I really like the look of the Angry Spirit model, so lots more people need to join in!!
