I know you've been waiting for this :-), game 3 of our 1941 Atlantic Naval Campaign.

An interesting match up this week, a David and Goliath contest as a Danish armed merchant takes on two, yes two German Battlecruisers. All that and it's based on a real event.

A nice little evening game and something a bit different, part  4 coming soon.

Very interesting scenario.

What was the reaction of the German players at the end?

Cheers Fred,

The reaction, Minus the swearing  lol was great, I had managed to build up a bit of tension so that as the Germans feared on the day the players thought there might be a torpedo attack. That took the mind off the Convoy and the Battleship and focused it very much on the merchant.

Of course by the time the Chilean Reefer was done, Rodney was getting closer and a hasty exit was needed, in the end the Germans were glad to get off the table.

Cool, its good how a little misdirection makes the players think much more like the real commanders.

One of the biggest limitations of table top wargames is the players have far better knowledge of pretty much everything compared to actual commanders (and have very little consequence for their decisions).
