Old Glory Uk (WORTH THE WAIT!)
« on: June 07, 2018, 11:40:47 AM »
Yes I know its just toy soldiers but I have been waiting for an order from Old Glory UK for close to a month now- Is this normal?

I'm worried that the ohh shiny! effect may have worn off by the time my order arrives... lol

I have used OG quite a bit and usually got my goodies within a week, the odd time they were out of stock and had to wait for them to come from the US but thats only been a couple of times.  :)

The only stuff I have ordered from them is the Blue Moon 15mm range so probably why they don't keep it in stock

Took a couple of months for me once too, out of stock, and they had to order it in from the states.

I did get a nice note though to explain the situation and they offered me something else instead.

Depending if it's in stock, cast in the UK or ordered on purpose from the US.
I think it says so on the site too.

I ordered a bunch of Blue Moon and Superfigs once and it took a while , but I was informed before.

Thanks for everyone's replies.

It's actually the Drabant miniatures that I have ordered from Old Glory UK. I know that they are made in Russia but I had presumed that Old Glory UK had the stock in the uk to sell... I haven't been informed of any delays. I suppose they will turn up at some point

They need to order the Drabant stuff if they are out of stock of it as they don’t cast it up. I tried to pick up some of the new Picts at Vapnartak at the beginning of the year & they were out of stock as they had forgotten to order them  ::) dozy buggers.
So you may have to wait till the stock arrives.

I thought it was updating to mention that I received my toys today and it was worth the wait - the Drabant miniatures Normans are some of, if not the best Norman miniatures I have ever seen. The chainmail hangs in all the right places and the helmets actually appear to be the size of something that you put on your head (over hair, chainmail etc) rather than fused to the top of the wearer's skull.
Oh and OGuk did include a hand written invoice in which they mentioned that the miniatures arrived from Russia on Monday. I might telephone to check stock levels before future orders, but I can't fault the despatch time 🙂
