Late Medievals
« on: June 15, 2018, 10:56:17 PM »
Have started another 28mm army, based on Burgundian but usable through 14th & 15th century. Various Manufacturers which I have picked up over the years. For use with Sword & Spear rules. Painted and based over a week, hence being of not great quality. About 45 figs.

Light troops, Hand Gunners (Perry's Metal)

Crossbows
1st unit

2nd unit

Ordnance Crews

Next: Halberdiers.
If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

Hi Phil,

Well painted figures, could I ask you, what firm's are the halberdiers? I would suggest VVV transfers for the knights shields, they do some decent medieval decals with a variety of designs.

The Halberdiers, I believe are early citadel sculpts (I have had them for over 30 years, and only now have decide to paint them). I have some early Citadel Xbowmen on the bench ATM

With the delay of our move (don't ask) I reopened my workbench and thought I would paint some Burgundian Crossbowmen. Citadel from Thirty odd years ago, found in my stash, a while ago, looking for something else.

These were primed, so these have been done today. Need to touch up here and there, especially the Pavises and then varnish.
